torque convert seal

Hi I have a 1995 f-350 with a 460 with 142000 miles 4 in lift what causes the torque converter seal to allow the tranny to **** tranny fluid out? Could that be the problem if the tranny is just pissing fluid? im not sure if it was but everyone I talked to said its the most common reason. how could I prevent it too?

If leaking from the bell housing , convertor seal , pump gasket , or cracked housing . Seal is most common . Over heating or excessive case pressure , if not wear , are the most common causes .
