no it does the same thing as a spacer.

Oh ok, and if I were to go that route....I would only do that to the front, correct?

yes, you would also need to get adjustable camber bushings either way you do it.

if you wanted to you could just go to a junk yard and get a set of used 2wd f250 front coil springs you could go that route instead

This is my old 1996 2wd which had the rough country leveling coils and 31x1050 BFG Muds. I was going for the poser 4x4 look . I didn't get the adjustable camber busings and regretted it. I was able to avoid premature tire ware by keeping them rotated but it never really tracked all that well afterwards.
