I found out the hard way to check it before I leave on a trip. I got to Fallon, NV in August and remembered I hadn't. Rather than take a chance and dash across the northern Nevada desert in the summer heat, I took it to a place that last year had been a Jiffy-Lube kind of place, and had topped it off. Yeah, I didn't do it last year, too.....
A year later the place had become a repair garage, and the bill out the door for a quart of synthetic 75W-140 and labor was $80.
Actually, since they didn't have synthetic gear oil in stock, and had to have a parts house deliver it, they ordered two quarts, just to be sure to have enough the first time around. As a result, I just bought both quarts, and the bill was actually $110.
Yes, $30 a quart is what they charged me.
I really need to get that seal replaced!

Decided to use up another round-tuit and repair that vent. Last December when getting the trailer into the garage,
I needed to quickly remove the vent cover (numb fingers
);so I broke it off. I found a replacement original size cover (14x14”).Got the sheet metal straightened and rivets removed. Will de-rust and paint the frame.
If I replace as is, it’ll be stuck in the garage due to the height of the opening. I’m about 1.5” too high.
With the frame only (no cover) it goes in and out with some weight in the trailer.
I also have a new modern cover (6” tall) that encloses the entire old structure, but will need to make that ‘quick disconnecting’ somehow to make getting in and out of the garage easier.

Makes sense. I asked though, because there is a school of thought that says lift blocks on a trailer are a no-no, due to torsion of the axle when braking and side load on shackles. I get that, but I don't see the big deal with small blocks in the 1.5 to 2" range. So I wondered if you had seen some issue.
Are you taking them out? Probably not, and that pic was from the install.

Right, it was an old pic. I might just deflate tires and see what that nets me in height reduction.
Other option is add 1000lbs of sand in it. Aidric wasn’t keen on that loading/unloading idea despite my promise to make him Job Foreman/Chief Engineer.
I like the current height because it’s nice and level on the Ex with the drop hitch.
