Thanks for the complement, I spent most of the summer riding my bike and getting very little done on the truck.

Why didn't you use a filler piece and weld your new plate on at the correct angle for the mounts? Even with the spacer piece the bolt is still at an angle and stressed incorrectly.
Excellent point, I was tinking about doing that, then I decided I should just get the correct frame mount to match the cab mounts. The spacer is a band aid so I could get the cab back on the frame and onto other stuff. I still have to pull the bed off to mount the fuel tank(s).

Thanks Marc! I'm having a blast working on it when I can. Y'all give me a lot of great ideas on how to spend more $$$$$.

WOW, awesome looking truck man, love the color. but i agree with NBC steve, it needs to be a bit tamed. maybe sitting on some nice 35's ( those 38's would look much better under my 78 LOL ) non the less it's a great looking rig. keep us updated on your progress.

I'm hopefully going to do a big update soon. I'm taking out the 2" body lift and 2" of suspension lift and setting it on 35" BFG's. I mocked this up a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the complement hyper.

Thanks for the color info. Holy crap, I know you know what you are doing, but be careful working under that thing! Don't want to see anyone get hurt. Don't mean to offend you by that either.

Not offended at all, no worries. Inside the cube is a 2x4 directly under each of the legs of the jack stand. A doug fir 2x4 can handle a compressive load of ~2500 lbs (488psi x 5.25 sq.in.) So each cube can handle 10,000 lbs. compressive load. The plywood sides brace the 2x4's for lateral loads. If you look at construction of the average home, exterior walls with OSB or plywood sheathing can handle wind loads of 60mph or ~7psf. On an 8' wall that is 20' long that's a lateral load of ~500 lbs. on the top half of the wall facing the wind.
The top and bottom of the cubes is capped with plywood to spread the load over the end of each 2x4 and prevent the metal legs of the jack stands from digging into the end grain and splitting the 2x4's.
They are not earthquake proof.

I figured you had something substantial going on with the wood cubes they weren't what worried me, the picture probably makes it look worse than it actually was. Just looked a bit tipsy like you could tip it off the stands if you were to fall into the truck walking across the floor. Just don't want to ever see anyone get hurt. You know what you're doing though and I'll shut up now.
Looking forward to the update pictures!

Good choice. I think it'll look great on 35's.
