Truck idles fine, press on gas and it tries to die
So I have a 1995 Ford F-150 that I've replaced the Plugs, Cable, Rotor, O2 sensor which took care of my jerking issues. NowI have a new issue that just started happening a week or so ago.
My issue is that once the truck is started, it idles just fine and I can press on the gas some and hear it rev up. After a certain point though it tries to die, kind of shakes a bit and sometimes will die and other times it catches back up, puffs a little black smoke out the exhaust and I have to restart it. Now if I let the truck sit and idle 20-30 minutes or so it works fine until I let it sit for a day or so and have to use it again. I was advised to replace the Throttle Position Sensor which I did this morning and the issue is still present. Please tell me where I should go from here. I'm tired of sinking money in to this and it not fixing my issues. I don't really want to get another vehicle right now but I need to do something.

With a fuel injected vehicle the first order of business when troubleshooting a problem should ALWAYS be.. pull to codes, if nothing else this will eliminate the EFI control system and wiring as potential causes. That said with your particular case my immediate thought was a broken vacuum line or vacuum resovoir which is the juice can on the passenger inner fender, if this system is leaking there is potential for a stumble on throttle tip-in that can lead to a stall and you may also experience a loss of defrost air under conditions of sustained heavy load again because part of the HVAC control system is vacuum operated.

Thanks. I actually took it to the Ford place because I was having some jerking issues and they hooked it up to something which is why the O2 sensor was replaced. That took care of my jerking issues but this is new.
I took a video of what it was doing today to give a better idea of exactly whats going on. I plan on taking it to the mechanic tomorrow and see if they can check on it. My defrost system has never really worked to good but I'll check the hoses and vacuum reservoir tomorrow too.
