i Have a 2002 7.3 powerstroke with 169,865 miles, mbrp 4 in. turbo back exhaust. Had the transmission rebuilt this week, went to pick it up today and noticed a 6x6 in. puddle of oil at the tail pipe. Had the truck started smoked really bad, idled rough, had a slight lope to it. Talked to the tech who rebuilt it, said that pressure had built up, causing the oil to shoot through the dip stick tube and all over the engine. I looked under the truck and noticed that the CCV tube i had put in had been bent to where it couldnt breathe at all. drove the truck for about 30 miiles to burn the oil out of the exhaust, after the drive couldnt see any smoke coming out of the tail pipe. I'm going to monitor it for the next few days, but is there any concerns or anything i should look out for, or worry about? thanks again!!!

 

if the CCV is clogged it can make oil come out the dip.
oil in the tail pipe may be turbo orings.

 

right. Right now the CCV is fixed no kinks, clogs anything like that. Just curious if my orings in the turbo might be bad now?

 

may be going out and the added psi made them leak more so it showed up.

 

The turbo has been rebuilt with less than 5000 miles on it. could there be any chance of blow by through the piston rings?
