What tires on 1994 F250 3/4 ton?

I want to get new tires on my truck but dont know what ones to get. The stock tires are 235/85/r16. What are the tallest tires that I can get on this truck that will still hold up well. I drive on gravel and and tar everyday to school and we get quite a bit of snow. I have a heavy duty suspension on the truck so I dont know if this will affect the tire sizes I can get or not.

Also what brand of leveling kit would you guys recommend for the front of this truck? I am on budget so it cant be too much. It needs to be at least 2.5" of lift for the front.

Do they make lift and level kits for this truck or no?

I had 35" tires on my stock 94 F350, but I'm not sure what kind of clearence you will have. The only thing I had to do was move my front bumper out an inch so the tires would clear. As far as the type of tire, what are you doing with the truck? I have pretty much always had an agressive mud tire on like a toyo open country mud terrain, and have had good luck with them. And I have no experience with leveling kits, I put a 6" skyjacker into my truck a few years ago, but that's about it

I currently run 285/75r16s on my 81 with no rubbing on the springs or the body, but my wheel openings are completely different from yours and I have no front sway bar. As far as leveling kits go, the only options you have for the leaf spring TTBs are add a leafs or OffRoad Designs zero rates.

I am thinking of getting a 2" lift kit from ebay it can be just the front leveling kit or a 2" full lift kit with or without new shocks. I would really like to get a lift and level kit I need 2-3" on the front to level it and then I want a 2-3" full lift. Are there any kits that are like this or should I just get the 2" full lift on ebay?

Here is the kit I am talking about
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-1998-FORD-F-250-4x4-2-FULL-LIFT-KIT-w-SHOCKS-/220854470951?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1994%7CMake%3AFord%7CModel%3AF-250&vxp=mtr&hash=item336bf3c927

If your wanting that much lift, youll need drop brackets for the TTB arms. Its either Rough Country or Tuff Country that produce he 2.5 lift kits that include these brackets. They utilize a mini leaf pack that bolts to the factory leaf spring, much like the kits you linked.

BTW I wouldnt buy either of the kits. Ones for a leaf spring Supeduty and th other dosnt provid the necessary drop brackets

A 285/75R16 will fit nicely without rubbing, thats what I run on mine. As for the lift, if you go more than 2" in front you will not be able to align it properly without the TTB drop brackets. I am running an add-a-leaf setup on the front of mine which initially gave me about 2.5" of lift but settled to 2" after a year of driving. My alignment still doesn't come out perfect, but it is barely off so as the tires are still wearing normally. I just made sure to rotate them every 5k miles for the first year until the springs settled. The AAL kit installed cost me about $150 several years ago, so if you do it yourself it should cost you less. This is my truck with the AAL and 285's.

Anyone who has spent a bunch of time driving snow/ice & gravel roads knows the narrower the tire the better. I learned that 50 years ago. The 235/85/16 10 ply tires are as tall as a 265/75/16.
They do just great with 10,000# TT I tow.
No place a stock F250 4x4 can't go that a lift kit will allow it to go.
After 50 years of running off road I have a little experience. Mall Crawer's need wide tires & lift kits so they can haul all the people to Walmart.

I think I may Just get some more aggressive stock tires. What do you guys think about add a leafs. How much lift would this add to my front? Would it be close to leveling my front end?

Thanks so much for all your help as I am only 16. My dad will be able to help me if I decide to get an add a leaf.

I am going to get an ad a leaf for the front. I went out and looked at where the new spring would go and saw that in between my two springs there is a little piece of plastic. On the side of it, it says discard what is this Is it something the factory was supposed to take out or what? I will try to get a picture when I can.

I am still unsure on tires I am either going to get the stock tires so I can go through more snow or mud tires for the looks of it. Is there a skinny tire(235ish) thats taller than a 235 85 r16? Like a 235 95 r16

Thanks for all the replies
