Great pics Jim! I copied them all to my puter! That bronze Oregon Trail marker was cast by a great old friend of mine that taught at U of O. Earl Weatherford was his brother and the friend that Harley and I took care of for five years.

I like historical markers that actually mark things that are important..........I was going to add it in this thread with a big KUDO to YOU for helping guide the wagons through that part of the country. Thought it might be pushing it a little........................

Now wait a minute! Just cause I look like a grizzled old fart doesn't mean I'm THAT old......................

Next time your over here I can take you not to far from there to a small kiosk on an old dirt road. You can see the deep ruts of the wagon trains that passed by there. It's a sobering scene, and a reminder of the real struggles that were made to settle this country.......
