2 1/2 hours in a tree with a pole got Christians Rocket down, we then repaired Christians ( or the other boys depending on who was in line) by grabbing parts off of both to make one rocket.

My leggs look like some one took a cheese grater to them, wouldnt you know, the tree that held the rocket would be surronded by thorn bushes.

To anyone whe decides they wish to do rockets, I have leanerd a few things.

Just because that motor fits, doesnt mean you should always use it.

Just because the parchute doesnt have a hole in it, doesnt mean you shouldnt cut one into it..

Streamers may not work as a parachute, but it is a hell of alot easier to reclaim your rocket when it just falls to the earth, instead of gracefully floating to a tree.

IF rocket launching is the whole days event.. bring MORE THEN ONE ROCKET..

What the hell doest it matter if you make it over 1200 feet, you cant see it anyways..
Between shop classes and scouts I too found them not worth the frustration in these parts, and once I learned the harsh reality of the hobby, found it got much more enjoyable to add a bit of black powder in place of the parachute and glue the nose cone on........

Nice one Pat!

Happy Tuesday!

Day off for me, adding some wiring to the Jeep, actually adding lights to the rear light for my towing harness. Should be easier to just plug in rather then using the magnet mount lights.

Nice hat Mike
