The great thing about buying a farm truck is the low milage and if stored in a barn, minimum rust..... but a farmer never takes a farm truck to town to clean it.
My number one retirement job this am, at daybreak, before it got hot was to remove the tranny on my 66 parts truck.
1 1/2 hours after starting, I took these pictures. The dirt on top of the bell housing measures 3 inch thick. This is red clay which is nasty gumbo when it gets wet. It does a surprising great job of preserving the original paint.
