For the past few days going to work, mostly on older state highways, I have noticed a number of Model T's A's and other classic cars. A group today was from California, motoring along in stately fashion as only a classic car can. Among the group was a gorgeous Model T pickup and pristine Model A panel truck.

It suddenly dawned on me they must all be heading to Dearborn for Ford's 100th birthday celebration. Gauging from just this little section of highway I travel, there must be thousands of old Fords converging like salmon to their spawing grounds. Anyone heard of how many celebrants are expected at this birthday bash?

 

A friend of mine is taking his Lincoln out to Dearborn. He was told by his contact at Ford that there are TEN THOUSAND vehicles already registered for the old car show!

 

Man I would love to go to that and see all them old Ford trucks....

They are stopping in my town(Fond du Lac, Wis) on Monday at one of the oldest Ford dealers in the nation, Service Motors Ford, established in 1911. There's approximately 50 Model T's traveling from Lancaster, CA to Dearborn.

I'd love to be the guy who gets to follow along that trip. Old cars are cool to see going down the road. It kinda takes you back in time.
