I bought a ZF-5 out of a 1991 F250 with a 302 and it should be a direct bolt up to my 302 but the flywheel pressure plate throw out bearing everything but the clutch plate is bigger or the size is off is there anyway around that so I can run this small bolt zf-5 on my 79 302?.
The ZF uses a hydraulic clutch, you would need all those parts (clutch, pp, to bearing) for the 91. Also you will have to modify your firewall to accept the clutch master cylinder.
The flywheel for a 91 and a 79 are different sizes but if I buy all those parts for the 1991 tranny that's all ill need to run that tranny on my 1979 F100 302.
