MIne is waste gated. I had to tear everything back apart to see it visually on the bench as I struggled for hours to try and make it fit. The dow pin on the collect does not line up correctly. I need a turbo expert. Can someone help me out? I installed this to prevent my surge and lower EGT's.
That is one of the problems that usually occurs with disturbing the stock pipes. The first time I removed the turbo and replaced the uppipes and donuts with stock parts, I had a difficult time getting everything lined up correctly. I had to leave the bolts to the collector (babby's butt) and manifolds loose until the flange to the turbine housing was installed first, then tighten them. It makes it harder to tighten the bolts afterwards though. One of the reasons I opted for the bellowed uppipes was to eliminate that problem. Once they are tightened and "set", it is a breeze to R&R the next time.
I uninstalled everything to put back on the bench and see what was going on. Even on the bench it will not line up and go together like the stock housing.

You definitely have a problem then. The flanges should slip together easily. Can you post a picture of both flanges?
I was thinking the same thing as I was laying in bed with a lot of disappointment. I'm just not sure if it would cause any other sealing issues. I have also found that the passenger side uppie is worn severely. I have read where one has welded his to build it back up and then grind and sand it down to be like new. ANY input on this would be appreciated.
