Sounds like a typical IPR failure. Replacing the CPS was the correct first step. But next I would be looking at the IPR. Look at this thread for some reading material:

another thing you could check that don't cost anything is a fuel restriction problem. check your filter. you could also remove your fuel cap, disconnect the fuel line at the back of the pump on the frame rail and blow compressed air back through the tank just to make sure you don't have clogged pick up screens. if that helps you will need to drop your tank and do the "hutch and harpoon mod" a quick search will explain what that is. also, welcome to fte. stick around and read all you can, lots of great info on here.

Just had the same issue on my 2003 7.3. I had to leave it at the campsite since we were rv'ing for the weekend, and pretty sure I got fleeced by a repair shop. Mine would run for 5-10 minutes then shut off and would not start. After a few hours, it would start again, but the same shut off after a few minutes. I replaced the CPS myself Sunday morning, since I carry a spare in the glove box. Still same issue. Had to leave for work this week and had it towed to a shop. They wound up replacing my high pressure oil pump, since they claimed the oil pressure was low. But when I called them during the repair, they also said the oil pump they got from the parts store "wasn't working" right. When I picked up the truck on Thursday of last week, the oil pump had been replaced, along with the IPR valve. I'm thinking there was a good chance it was the IPR valve all along, and the oil pump may not have needed replacing. Repairs total cost me over $2,000 so make sure you try all the less costly ones before you start tearing into the engine to get to the oil pump.

Make sure your IPR nut is on your IPR sensor, and tightened appropriately.
Running rough when warm is one symptom of low fuel pressure. This can be caused by a clog in your fuel line between the pump and the fuel tank or even a really clogged up fuel bowl / fuel filter.
All of these suggestions are free to check, unless you find you need to replace your fuel filter ($20)...in which case you should have done anyway.
