Why are there limited tire options in 15"

I'm looking at 33" tall tires and it seems I'd have so many more options if I had 16-17" wheels. I love my factory wheels but they're really limiting my tire options.

There should be quite a few options in a 33x12.50 r 15' but due to the fact that most trucks starting coming with 16" wheels stock over 10 years ago the 15" wheels and tires have started have have limited availablility except in the most popular/stock sizes. If you go to a 16" wheel then you go to a 285/75r16 which is pretty close to a 33.

This is the exact reason I bought two sets of wheels this year, one set in 16x8, one set in 17x8. Much better tire selection, and most times they're cheaper.

I wish we didn't have such an odd bolt pattern.

You can't call it an odd bolt pattern since this was the most sold vehicle of that era, which means these trucks set the standard. They're just too old now, and the standard has shifted.

Touché but I can't find anything that will bolt up and look right with the lines on these trucks. Would love to find a 17x8 that looks just like what's on there.

Try to look on 'smaller' we sites. It's easiest to find tires for 15-16-16.5-17-18 if you want a mud tire also, I know interco caters to all the sizes.

How is it people are still so internet illiterate..

American racing makes 3 wheels that look very similar the stock hoops our trucks were delivered with and they're available in 15x8, 16x8, and 17x8 and the Ford 5x5.5" bolt pattern.

x2. LOVE mine. They look great, perform great, and are holding up well with 6k miles on them.

New:

Now:

*only recent picture I have where you can see the tires

They have only lost ~ 1-2/32 of tread in 6k miles.

They're not, they are just too lazy to look for themselves, and want to be spoon fed.....
