I'm very angry and slightly lost.

So my 86 with a none gated banks is allergic to oil....... It pukes it out and I do t know where from. It had a huge leak from the oil feed on the turbo and I fixed that and now it's back to leaving puddles on the ground. It's not coming from anything to do with the turbo anymore but I cant find the source. I've tried that uv light crap and the oil s so black it doesn't work. If you look at the front of the truck there are two puddles about where the tranny hooks to motor and they Are 6-8 inches apart. In so sick of this I can't even stand it and not to mention costing me a small fortune. Where could this much be comi g from? HELP!

I'm with you, the bottom half of my 7.3 is coated with oil and has left a 2x3' stain in my driveway. I guess it looks worse than it is as I only add about 2-3 quarts every 5k miles. I think my oil mostly comes from my oil pan and the oil cooler mounting gaskets. I replaced my rear main when I replaced my clutch but it wasn't leaking then and still appears to be dry now. Where abouts in Idaho are you, if you are close I wouldn't mind taking a look at it with you.

Haha I moved to Phoenix last week! Damn. I add a quart a week and I only drive the thing maybe 100 miles a week. So it's bad. I know I'm not burning it. My truck runs like a top. Easy starts, no smoke loads of power. It's fairly fast but just let's go of oil like no ones business. I can't find the source and at this point the whole under side is coated so there is no clear trail to follow. So rear main could be the problem. Where else?

As my dad always said. You need to steam clean it first.
Of course i always had to tell him there was no steam clean at the car wash.
Point is i would take it to the car wash and degrease everything i could, presure wash what you can, that is safe to pressure wash anyways.
Then drive it home, sit it in the driveway, and get up under it and see what you see

Has no cdr. Po took it off and has a tube run underneath. Tube is not puking oil. These are drips from rear of motor not valve covers.

My point was that it is building CC pressure somewhere, that's the biggest cause of leaks on an IDI.

Make sure the CC is vented good enough, and I bet the leaks go away...

Sometimes a Road Draft tube isn't good enough, you need to run it into the intake.

There are better ways...

Mine had really bad leaks until I tapped into the Pump gear bolt cover, welded a 1" pipe elbow onto it, and ran a 1" hose into my intake. All my leaks cleared up after I did that. But you will run a bit of oil through your turbo, so be prepared for that, its not a big deal, and worth it to keep the oil off the ground.

Yes it does, but I didnt notice any performance difference, and I would rather have the oil in my IC, can clean it out every oil change or so, than have it all over my driveway.... Its really a give and take.

I just hate my truck looking like a pos. oil drips and coolant drips really really bother me. They scream bum to me. When I see a car that looks nice but is a leaky ******* I just shake my head. I hate it.
