Hey out there. Does anyone have the dimensions of the bed wood/slats? Mine have some shrinkage, rot and is hard to tell exactly. I don't wnat to screw up expensive wood by trial and error. thanks, Rh

 

You might consider ordering from an outfit like Sacramento Vintage Ford (1-888-ford-100). They have all the parts you would need including the correct size boards for your year and model truck. Boards only, cut, grooved and surfaced, but no holes drilled, would run you about $225 not including shipping. Good luck. I will be starting on my bed in a couple of weeks.

 

Thanks for the info, and I found the site you mentioned fantastic. However, I have some oak lying around and am inclined to do this if practicle. I just need the dimensions, perhaps you can send me those after you get them. I will try the company too. RH

 

RH, no problem. Their catalogue is very complete and more detailed; worth the price. When I get my get my kit, I would be glad to send the dimensions, if you still need them then.

 

I know I ran across a web site some time in the recent past that had dimensions for bed wood. Can't remember where and if it was for F1/F2 or for F100s. If I can find it, I'll let you know.

Try searching with Google or Alta Vista. I think it was like a tech article on one of the truck sites.....

(BTW - red oak or white oak?)
