so i have a 2004 f250 superduty now with the 5.4.. i love it but i have been wanting a diesel for a while.. i came accross this from a friend who owns a dealership and its perfect... what to do.. is it worth selling mine and moving into this or not.. honest opinions please.. i dont pull all the time but i do on ocasion.
its a untouched 6.0 6 speed lariat long bed with 136k thats so low to me for the price. i drove it and it was like driving a pillow down the road with the sweet sound of a turbo... aaaahhhh
If you read enough threads of the 6.0 and feel comfortable with the possible cost of repair of dsl parts pull the trigger. It looks good and seems cheap, just remember buyer beware.
great price though. A Lariat has Auto Climate Controls, and the instrument cluster has different "fancier" look to it. Here is my inst. cluster for reference
That truck is a very nicely optioned XLT with some upgrades in the look department

My 2005 Lariat didn't have the silver gauge faces...
It's a good looking truck for sure and it is a true Lariat.....it just doesn't have the Lariat Luxury Group which included:
• Optional Lariat Luxury Group: Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC), auto-dim rearview mirror, bronze-faced instrument cluster, enhanced message center with trip computer, redundant steering wheel controls, woodgrain instrument panel insert, front floor console with woodgrain appliqué when ordered with captain's chairs.
Without this group, it had the standard climate controls, instrumentation, etc., but it still had the leather interior and the rest of the Lariat standard trim. I had to order this package on my '05 to get the auto climate controls, steering wheel controls, etc. I think this package became standard equipment on the '06-'07 models.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me but I'd go over it with a fine tooth comb before I laid out the money. There's usually a reason for a truck to go ~$7k to ~$8k below book.
