My truck has a shudder
Hey guys. Gotta question! I have a 1989 Ford 4x4, diesel with a 5 speed. I been noticing in the last week or so, it has a fairly noticeable shudder in it when I take off from a stop. It seems to me like it's gettin worse. But, it's not really making any noise. It did it today more than usual. I need to get this fixed ASAP! I depend on this truck everyday! Any ideas??????? Thanks!

The obvious candidate is a driveshaft U-joint, don't just look to see if they're tight a dry/seized joint will cause as much trouble as one that is falling apart, so you may have to drop the shaft to inspect them more closely.
Does your truck have a 2-pc rear driveshaft, if so misallignment between those halfs can also cause a shudder, if the truck is lifted this is a common problem and the solution is a drop bracket for the middle carrier bearing.
