Ford vs Chevy sales numbers for 1/2 tons
I'm glad I own Ford stock and NOT GM stock.
Think people are finally seeing the where it says on the window sticker the silverados are built in Mexico?
Why Isn't Anyone Buying the 2014 Chevy Silverado?

F-Series has been the best selling pickup line for 38 years. Ford trucks outsell Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, Tundra, and Titan.
I'd never buy anything GM makes. I don't like their trucks at all. They are ugly, IMHO. I feel Ford makes a superior product all around.
My Grandpa last summer was in the market for a new truck. He was trading in a 2002 F-250 Diesel Crew Cab 2WD. He bought it to tow a big fifth-wheel camper, and now that he didn't have the camper anymore (camping wasn't the same without my Grandma who passed away in 2009), he didn't see the need to drive such a big truck. Not to mention it was difficult for him to get in and out of it at his age.
He bought the F-250 after talking to other campers hauling fifth-wheel trailers. Many of them swore by the F-250, so that's what he decided to buy. Before that, he was GM faithful. All he had ever owned were GM vehicles in his life. All he had owned in my lifetime were two Chevy trucks and a GMC. All my Grandmother had ever owned in my life were Buicks.
So he went and looked at a Silverado 1500 first. He said it wasn't bad, but wasn't impressive either. Also, the one he looked at didn't have Bluetooth technology, which he wanted.
He went across the street to the Ford dealership to look at an F-150. He got into a gray one and saw it has SYNC. Saw it had a back seat. Saw it had everything he was looking for. Guess what? He never went back to the Chevy dealership.

What I read was Ford offered bigger discounts on 2013 models left over & GM didn't have left over 2013s. I didn't read anything about Made in Mexico.
But if you read anything beyond this forum you will read that neither company are setting any sales records.
So basically the link explains they don't have 2014 sales to compare its too early.

I have had all Fords since turning 16, on my fourth truck now. I really shopped around this time though. My brother had a Chevy 1500 and I really like it. They do some smart things with their trucks. In the end I got another Ford because we humans are creatures of habit after all. In all honesty I think Ford and Chevy are fairly equal when you weigh the pros and cons of each. I will say though from a strictly cosmetic stand point I still like the way the Ford trucks look more than any other, especially the Superduty.

one of the guys from the other job is a life long dodge driver. he eats sleeps breathes dreams dodge. he will not ride in another brand if he has the choice.
he just bought a 2013 F350 diesel 4X4. told me it is the best move he ever made, and will never own another dodge again.
the guy down the street was the same way with chevys.
last friday he came over to ask me if i ever had any trouble with my trucks, and what mileage was on them.
the thing that got me was his 3500 dually has been missing for over a week now.
yesterday he pulled up with a 2014 F350 4 door dually diesel.
it seems his chevy puked the engine again. this is the third engine in 65,000 miles.
2 cracked injector housings filling the crank case up with diesel wiping out the crank bearings, and this last time it filled the crank case with coolant, spun 2 bearings wiping out the crank, and cam.
chevy said it is not a warranty repair because he changed his own oil and used a napa filter.
ford gave him $25,000 trade in with a blown engine.

I saw this exact post on the Chevy and dodge sites I have been to... Just change the brands around to whatever site/brand u own and it works.
