what size tires are you looking to have wraped around that size rim? if your only going to run a 35" tire for instance i feel that size rim looks funny with that small of a tire. if your running a 37-40" tire that would be more appropriate.

An 18" wheel seems a little large IMHO for an off roader, but I have seen a few pickups with 20-22" wheels with 35"+ tires and it was... well not that good looking to me but I like more tread then steel.

I have to agree Kemical and Fordman. The larger offroad tires/large rim size looks a little.......strange. (But to each his own.) My cousin down here had a 79 Bronco and he put 40" tires with 20" rims. To me, it never looked right. He sold it to a mutual friend and the first thing he did is change the tires to 17/40 Ground Hawgs on 15x14 Centerlines. I think the problem is the back spacing. They look like they are "tucked in" too far. To get them where they have less backspacing, (I think that's correct) it gets into a gray area safety wise. In other words, they aren't rated for it strength wise, unless you go with a mega dollar, custom built wheel.
I asked him to email me a pic of it but he said he lost all the pics of it. The Bronco looked wicked......except for the tire/wheels he had!!

Ya that is the other problem with the larger rims is that you are sacrificing strength depending on the size, but if it's just something you never take off roading I don't see why it would hurt.
