Finally got some time to work on the truck this week. EZ-harness for lights ect is all done, dash is re-assembled, all body mounts finished and bolted down. Have to bleed the brakes tomorrow and then it will be off jack stands for the 1st time in months!!!
If I could do it over, I would have figured out the ignition switch set up and removed all unnecessary wires before installing the harness in the truck. Also with the easy wire harness I tossed out the old fuse block that sits on top of the light switch. It took a bit to figure out lol, the fuse block actually supply's a 2nd 12v+ to the switch at the back. for the longest time I had no headlights and couldn't figure it out. After pinning out the fuse block with a multi-meter I found the extra power spot, ran a jumper wire and it works great!!

I like your truck!! I wish this newer fords were around when I started on mine 20 years ago.
I am probably like you father and have a million hours in it and not on the road yet! Life gets in the way that is for sure.
Did you ever drive the truck with the old engine? just wondering how the two compare going up and down the road. I love the way the new engines sound!!

Very nice! I cant believe I didnt do this instead of using the original frame! I run a salvage yard and have CV s all over it seems.
I have one quick question, the EZ harness, Is that a painless, or sourced from somewhere else?
I am building a 64 for my dad, (he doesnt know its his yet) and he has given me ideas on what he thought was cool and I am adding them to the truck. The reason I ask if it is Painless or not, one of the items he thinks is really cool is their phantom start option.
Thanx

just going to paint it all flat black for now, that way I can do body work on one section at a time and keep driving it. Have a set of wheels for it but need to roll the fenders to make them fit!!
I didnt drive it with the old motor, when it finally did fire it was pushing smoke out the side of the block/head.. So I just pulled it out and sold it to a guy that wanted to rebuild it. By the time the motor would have been properly rebuilt it would have probably cost more then the complete CV.

It was pretty easy to do, looking back I would have just bought the 12 circuit, made it more of a hassle deleting and tying up wires that were not needed.

Well ended up picking up an ls motor for the f100, so will be pulling out the 4.6 and starting over! I originally planned on using the ls motor from the start but once I decided to use the CV frame the plan changed. Now looking into modifying the 4.6 and tuning, i think the ls is the better way to go. guess we'll soon find out!

I like this build. I am curious about the track width. In some of your pics the front wheels seem to be really tight. In other pics it looks like a perfect fit. At one point you mention rolling the fenders. Can you bottom line it for us? (us=me)
I am afraid all you fabrication wizards are making it look too easy. I son't plan on fabricating it myself, but I will be using fabricators that may have not done this exact IFS swap before.
