Highboy 78-79 PS Steering Gear Alternative?

After seeing an article in, IIRC, Custom Classic Trucks magazine about Classic Performance Products' (CPP) new PS gear for 53-60 Fords, a question popped up: would this be an easier alternative to the harder to find holy grail 78-9 box? As it looks like the same type of box as the regular manual box, would it work?
