Hoping for a miracle here so here we go!! I purchased a set of Spyder Projectors for my '09 Platinum. Simple plug and play setup and done however.....now when I unlock the truck using the fob they both light up (low beams). I then get in and start the truck, turn on the lights and nothing, i cycle them on and off a couple 2-3 times and one will finally work(side varies). I've tried manually turning them on, starting the truck with the lights in the off and auto position etc.... I dont know what else it could be. As i said, both sides illuminate perfectly without flaw every time i unlock the truck. Suggestions?
I have the same headlights on my 2012. Only issue I have had is sometimes one of the ccfl rings will not light or barely light up when I unlock the truck. Once it is started they are nice and bright.
What did you tap into for the halo rings and the led's. Running lights or low beams?
I tapped my halos and leds into the side marker light instead of the park/blinker circuit. You might want to pull the rubber covers off of the low beam and check the connections on the bulb. I removed the one sent with the light and installed HID's into mine.
The issue I'm having is because the ballasts require constant 12v. When I unlock the truck they get it and light up. I have to add a relay to keep it from dropping at start causing the intermittent issue listed above. Will report back with results, relay going in tonight over some beers.
Do you have ccfl halos or LEDs. I have the ccfl on mine. I have issues with mine when it rains and water gets to the inverter boxes. I don't have a relay harness with my hids. Thinking about adding one though
