Lex2002 - Mounting has been my concern since you first shared your plan. I suspect you may end up regretting the hassle of the install vs. the ease of installing a more expensive option. The question could end up being "How much did you really save?" I could be wrong on this, so I'm watching with curiosity.
A blank 650 lower dash.......

Oh... much cheaper/easier/more dependable than an ISSPRO EV2 kit with an Autometer under-dash pod.

Again, I can be wrong on this.

You may be right...have you had the dash apart to advise me on where there is some depth available?

Ill tell you this though...the 2 digit display for the HYDRA CHIP is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too bright. Even when you dim it. I gotta put some window tint film over it or something. I can see the image reflected in the side window as if it was a heads'up display in a Vette.

I recall there was plenty of room back there down low, I can't remember so much about up high - I thought there was framework to support the dash.

I found several dim settings on the Hydra, did you set it all the way down?

Sounds like I am in for some exploration under the dash. I wanna see how the units look plugged in before I mount them.

Several? I thought it was Bright or Super Bright. Good to know.

Just thinking out loud...I'd have to look to see the amount of room required behind the 650 lower dash.

That's a decent price....does it just screw in place?

I would have to fill the gaps with something.

Unless you're wanting to look at the LPOP pressure, the oil sensors on the truck take care of the critical oil criteria and put that info on the OBDII port.

My choice is dual-pyros, fuel pressure, and OBDII for the rest. I still have a gauge on the bench that needs to be swapped in, but I'm getting close to done with gauges. Pay no attention to the steering wheel - it is fully functional:

Rich, don't feel bad about your steering wheel, I have you beat. I have multiple wear holes in mine. I just cover it up, it was was becoming a nuisance.

My steering wheel was so bad I cut the leather off of the entire top half of it. I had already recovered it once, but the leather didn't hold up as well as it should have. One of these days I'll strip and recover it again, maybe with some fancy design and better padding next time. Or I'll just cave in and buy one; steering wheels are a colossal pain to stitch.

They are a pain, that's why I just got one of those cheap slip over covers. It was a pita to get on over the leather.
