Swapping in 351w into 58 . Radiator seems close

I know that I could use an electric fan put I like the old style. Even if I push the engine up against the firewall it looks like the fan clutch is going to be close to the radiator fins.

I have thought about cutting a couple of holes in the fire wall to get the proper distance. The hole would be on the back sides of the heads. Where the transmission dipstick is located and the tube for the EGR. (I plan on removing the tube and putting a bolt in the hole)

What have some other people done?

Thanks.

351 should give you plenty of room. I have a 429 & a clutch fan would fit but would only have 1/8th in clearance. You should have about 3-4".

EDIT: added this chart that I found when I was looking
