Trip A/B display blacked out

Trip A/B display blacked out
When I attempt to view my Trip A display a brownish orangeish rectangle appears in the center of the screen. The trip data is there but is impossible to read. Has anyone seen this problem and been able to rectify it?

I found the solution under another thread. All I had to do was tap the OK button to bring the display back to normal. Apparently I had accidentally taped the OK button which puts the trip display in "pause"
