My almost 8000k fuel filter change.

Im trying to keep a rolling schedule of maintenance on 5000 mile increments so I just rolled 160k on mine so done my fuel filters so itll fall on 10k and oil was just done also so thatll fall on 5k. Anyway here are some pics of what was drained from the seperator and the filters. My fuel is pretty green but I have been running 2 stroke outboard oil every other tank along with diesel kleen so that could be reason for the color. I did read that green is ok as I have no running issues with the fuel. Filters look pretty good IMO.

Supertech? (walmart brand) ashless - I pour one of the small bottles(16 oz.) of it in at fillup and I fill up around half a tank or so, so Id say no more than an ounce a gallon. Every tank I use diesel kleen (silver bottle) at its recommended addage. Oil is every other fillup. I always end up getting between 15-18 gallons each fillup at 16 oz every other so its diluted pretty good. I know my diesel is green to an extent anyway as I syphoned some outta my tractor into a 5 gallon bucket and it was light green and it was bought at Krogers just like my truck but it wasnt that dark so I think its a mixture of the already green plus the darker oil being used. Also its not near as green in the white bucket I drained into today but it covered a larger surface area so I think being in that small jar amplifies the color some. Its still pretty green though.

That is what I use, and pretty much the same amounts. My fuel has never looked that way.

That is why I asked.

Runs like a champ. It doesn't look as dark in person as it does in the pic but still dark but only in the jar. I'll pour it back in the bucket and upload another pic.

My wife says the pic is an optical illusion. Here it is poured back in the bucket, and nevermind the debris, thats not from the fuel.
