I need to order a new steering box for my truck. I will be calling Red Head tomorrow. I know there has been group buys before, just wondering if anyone else is planning to buy one and maybe we can get a group buy going. If there is any interest let me know and we can see what happens.

 

I just called Red Head and talked to Bryce about doing another group buy. They are interested in doing another one. He said if we get atleast 10 orders they can process them now. We could start calling in our orders starting Monday, and just tell them you are a FTE member calling to get on the group buy.

If the order is over $300 we will get $30 off, if the order is less then $300 we get $20 off. Now if we can get enough interest to get an order of 36 units sold we can save up to $60 off. If we can get to the 36 units it will take 2-3 weeks for them to get ready and I would post a date for us to call in.

So if there is any interest please post and let me know. I will call Bryce again Monday and let him know what we have so far.

What kind of cost are we looking at for a 2000 f250 4x4? I didn't see any pricing on the website.

 

I was quoted for my 2001 F250 4x4 was $356 plus s/h. So if we can get to 10 units sold we will save $30 off that. That is more then I can afford, but if I have to replace mine I am going to replace it with the best. I don't want to have to do it twice.

At Ford I was quoted $700 for the replacemnet of my box. $400 of that was just for the Motorcraft rebuilt steering gear box. So with Read Head I will be ahead. Don't forget there is a $200 core charge also.

Well guys I don't think we are even going to make it to 10 steering gears. I will still be calling Red Head tomorrow because I still need to get one.
