in the market

Hello every one. Im new here but im in the market looking to buy a 04 to 08 f150. Im thinking of buying a wrecked or not running truck to save money. I had a 04 lariat 4x4 one time but sold it due to money problems. But wen i owned it the people i bought it from said it had a new motor. Later i found out the dealership had taken the cab off to install motor. Is this a common practice ? If so. Which models is it nessasary to do this ?

If any one has any opinions it would be appreciated.
What I really want to know is which f-150s do you have to take the cab off to put motor in ?

changeing engines

It's much less work to lift cab then pulling engine if you have a hoist.

Yes, common on the f150 as well as the 2-350's.....they made the cabs rather simple to remove to save time and labor.
I guess this can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.
