This truck starts and runs for about three seconds and then dies. And once i finally get it started which takes forever it dies like 5 miles down the road just randomly. Im looking for a return line. Does anyone know where i can buy a new complete return line?
If the plastic caps aren't cracked, you can replace just the fuel line, and the o-rings under the caps. This has been covered at least a 1,000 times on here, search for return lines or air intrusion and you will find all the info you need.
If it's dieing '5 miles down the road randomly' it may be more than return lines. There's a section of steel line in these trucks on the supply side that can also rust and develop air leaks that can cause headaches, as well as the steel line at the sending unit.
Something to keep in mind when hunting for fuel problems on these trucks.
check all of the fuel line the line is under sucktion and may not leak fuel or even be wet,,,inspect carfully...or you could temparaly install a pump and presurize the hole system to find the leak..if it dies after you get her running it is on the sucktion side of the system not the return line side...
