Actually I replaced the whole transmission and almost ruined the new used one for the same reason the old one failed: Overheating, the culprit in my case was the cooler in the radiator. It was completely blocked. I replaced entire radiator and added an external cooler found on the bronco. Drained all fluid replaced with fresh one.
