I did!!!!
Intake and carb are still here, but they are for a windsor, so that's not good news.
Cam is as follows;
Hydr flat tappet
351 c- boss 351-351 m-400
part # VS320-16
grind 10329
Use 1.73 rocker arm
Lift-Intake 2800 @ valve 484
lift-Exhaust 2947 @ valve 510
Intake cam timing- at tappet-1050 opens 58 btdc closes 29* abdc
Max lift 107*atdc 204 durration
Exhaust-1050 opens-44*btdc closes 10*btdc
max lift 117*btdc 214* durration
DO NOT USE WITH EXHAUST VALVE ROATORS
This may be too nasty of a cam to be practical in a truck..... Tim?????
you definately will need a vacuum can reserve for your power brakes

Yeah, might be a little much. Oh well.
An Edelbrock Performer intake be good, you think?

That is an excellent intake. With the carb you have it will wake up the bottom end, and probably give you a tad better gas mileage.
Add a set of headers, and it will really wake up

What is the rear gear ratio?

I would classify that as an aggressive street cam. It has a lot of lift but its kinda short duration. A vacuum cam would make sure the brakes and heater have enough vacuum to work. Headers will tame it a bit to so it should work. I would like to see some head work and a tall double plane intake as well to make sure torque doesnt suffer.

I figured I might as well pull the heads and strip them down, do a little porting and polishing, and then lap the valves while I have both manifolds off.

Where's the fun in that, Gerry?? These will yield better lower-end. I also won't have to unbolt the motor mounts or shield the starter with these. I'm hoping I'll be able to do these for under $300; need to figure out how many bends I'll have to order..

I'm not going, too far. Besides---crazy weather...it's 12* warmer here in NY than our place near Stuart.

If you want to stick with a tri-y instead of equal length, you may want to think about re-routing the tubes so that every other cylinder merges instead of 2 back to back. It helps with the scavenging because of the firing order.
So 1 - 3 merge and 2 - 4 merge then those to y's merge at the collector.
Please note, I am definitely not a header expert! Just remember reading some of that stuff in old hot rod and carcraft magazines.
