Figured out what to do with my ashtray

I thought my ashtray in my pickup was kind of a waste of space so I found a way to use it! I cut out the parts I didn't need, got some foam, a can of spray adhesive and some corduroy I had left over from making a gun case out of an old suitcase. An hour later and there we go, works great.

Have you seen the holster that mounts under the steering column?

I think I saw one that is more concealed, but you get the idea.

Here you go,
Right now it is just the fog lights and LED's under the dash. I'm thinking about adding some indicator lights above the switches. Just because I think it would look good. The ash tray was broken and wouldn't stay shut, and I wasn't going to fix something I don't use. So I made this and put it in.

That looks real clean, nice panel job. I agree with ya about indicator lights above the switches. I will use your idea, I have no use for the ash tray either. Thanks 92

Thanks man I'm glad you like it. I just used a piece of white Marlite that I had in the garage. Cut it to fit and put on a few coats of flat black spray paint.

Now I just need to decide on what color to make the indicator lights, blue like the stereo, or red like the truck

You gave me an idea too... I don't use the ashtray neither, I might take it out and set my 11m radio in there.
