First time post -- Will I be ok towing upgraded camper
This is my first post...I have a 2010 f150 supercrew with 5.4L & 3.55 gears. I have been towing a camper with a max GVWR of 7400 lbs. We took a long trip from Nebraska to the Grand Canyon to Durango, CO and across Wolf Creek Pass with absolutely no problem.
I looked in my Owners Guide and the truck is rated with a towing capability of 9600 lbs. The camper I am looking at getting is a max GVWR of 7900 lbs, only 500lbs more, right? But the Dry weight of the new camper is 2000 ibs more than my old camper.
As I am looking at it...this new camper is still 2000 lbs. LESS than my truck capacity, so I should be fine, right?
Thanks for your help!
