Pretty new have been reading some posts on tire sizes. The truck looks silly small on the truck with the stock 245/75/17 tires it came with. I want to fill the fender wells up some but not lose to much mean gear ratio as I do use it for towing / hauling about 25% of it's use. I want to stay with either 17 or 18" rims. I don't really plan to do any real off roading with the truck. Though it will need to go into some mud from time to time. I don't plan to to lift the truck. Being it's the 6.2 I don't think it needs a leveling kit either sits pretty level to me.

So I guess my question is what tire / rim size combo would work best for my needs. I don't want to deal with any rubbing at all. Looks to me like a 34 or 35 tall and maybe 12.5 wide tire would be close any thoughts would be welcome here. Thanks

 

Same questions. Also, what about rim width, off-set and back spacing?
