NO POWER from my 2000 Ford Explorer Tranny Shifts Fine
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer with 188,000 miles on it. I bought it used with 110K miles and put a new tranny in at that time. Now, I am having problems. I don't know if it's the tranny or the engine. It looses power when climbing hills. It takes off really slow with no power and finally gets up to speed it switches gears the whole time smoothly but the engine just can't take a load.
The check engine light came on and put out 10 codes:
P1451 EVAP Control System Canister Vent
P1747 Electronic Solenoid A-Short Circuit
P0743-Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical
P0750-Shift Solenoid "A"
P0755-Shift Solenoid "B"
P0760-Shift Solenoid "C"
P0765-Shift Solenoid "D"
P0135-O2 Sensor Heater Circuit
P0155-O2 Sensor Heater Circuit
P1409-EGR Vacuum Regulator Circuit Malfunction
Those are the codes and I don't know how one has anything to do with the other. I checked the dip stick on the tranny and it's clean. Juicy red and not shavings. I'm not looking to get a new truck and a Jasper Tranny with 3 year warranty is $3K.
Any input would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

NO POWER from my 2000 Ford Explorer
The torque converter ruptured back in 2011 so the transmission shop did a replacement and something close to a rebuild. I've never changed the fluid. However, I thought the problem could be that it wasn't cooling like it needed to. I put some stop leak in the radiator about a month before this problem happened. The stop leak was not necessary i found out after putting it in. It made the rest if the antifreeze coolant dark and as thick as sludged up oil. It began to leak out out from the radiator cap. Now I am thinking that because of the stop leak, the antifreeze coolant wasn't flowing free enough to cool the transmission but did OK with the motor. I've drained most of it since. Now, I'm wondering if it is the ECM, hoping the transmission is fine because it shifts fine through all gears but just the truck just can't take the load of moving. I don't know what to do. Thanks.

With all those codes I would suspect a external wiring issue, check the case connector on the trans for loose connection and follow that harness up into the truck and look for touching the exhaust or any wear spots.
Its taking off slow because it is in the wrong gear because the computer has gone into limp mode or the computer cannot control the transmission because it is disconnected.

check fuse #13
#13 runs:
Heated o2 sensors
EGR Vacuum regulater
EVR solenoid
Camshaft position sensor
Canister vent solenoid
that's about half the codes.
fuse 26 and 27 are labeled as
electronic shift control module
electric shift
i'd pull the connector reglardless and clean it well with electrical cleaner. put some dielectric grease in the terminal plug before you button it back up....
start there ... if your fluid is not burnt, it is unlikely that it is a transmission issue.
