I didn't have that problem. Do you have a picture to show where things are hitting?

Yes, I discovered that also when I installed the brake setup. I'm using the original bottom shock bolt and instead of installing the original nut on it (back side off the axle) I found a couple of those old style wheel lug nuts with the longer barrel and used that to act as a stop. The threads matched so I figured this will work. The wheel go through the whole swing and doesn't hardly detract from the turning radius. In fact it seems to work perfectly as a stop. I'll probably get a few chuckles from the purists but I figure if there's a way to make something work, why not. Besides, I couldn't find the original.

Hey, I even have a pic.

Here is a picture with what i'm dealing with. Like I said it might be okay once I get the steering box on and the wheels.

I suspect you'll find that you won't ever turn wheel far enough to hit once you get the steering box hooked up.

That's what I'm hoping for. Now I need to find a pair of steel wheels that'll fit. I have the 5 x 4.5 kit up front.

Wish I would have found this thread three dsys sgo

I had the same question for Speedway about the outer spacer being optional but nothing but crickets. You would think after 8 years they might at least update the instructions to eliminate some of the heartburn when installing the kit. Thats what makes this site so valuable.
Nice to know the explanation and now I am going to try using the original spindle nut and no spacer.
I had issues with the inner bearing not seating over the spindle adapter and had to remove material from the adapter so bearings would fit over it.
