Position of the hitch can make a huge difference in how it pushes around the truck. to far back and it will rock the truck, to far forward and your putting weigh on the front end and stressing the frame.
Well made it to Washington a couple days ago. The truck did awesome pullin the trailer. Was a little nervous when I took the trailer around the block, it seemed REALLY HEAVY!! But the beast never dropped below 55mph and never had to shift down to third. 2700rpms and 28psi boost in 80hp tow egts got up to 1160 and no higher with my foot in the floor. Never weighed the trailer but I would say it was over 10k. I will post a pick of my Beverly hillbillies setup.
The only casualty of the trip was my powerstearing Rez cap fell off. Hmmmm
BUT… I unhooked the trailer and the truck still bounces between 35-40mph. The driveline has new u-joints carrier bearing and got balanced. What in the world could cause all the bouncing!!!!
I had one tire get a bulge in it and do the same things your saying. Couldn't see the bulge until it was facing up. Also one of the inner dual wheels, if the wheel is cracked or the lug holes are wollowed out a little it will cause the same thing.
