i found the craziest deal for 750 its an indy pace truck! needs repainted and its painted diff color than original but i know its a pacer! 460 auto does not run. has a/c and everything! or should i just keep my truck? 1978 ford explorer f100 302 auto runs SHortbed! has to be bottle fed
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the excitement over this pace truck to begin with. The only real incentive to have one today would be the original paint job and decals. But if those are gone, it's just another truck with some options. I'm not saying it's not a good deal (you probably need a little more information or inspection to make that call), but the fact that "it's a pacer" or "the guy doesn't know what he has" don't really seem to add much here.
"Better" is an objective, ambiguous term. "Better" means different things to different people. If you already know which is "better" in your eyes then you've already answered your own question.
I'm not an accountant or anything, but if you don't have $750 on hand to pay for this truck, how are you planning on funding a non-running vehicle?
Yes that's what i'm asking and i believe the pace truck would be better than my explorer
This is a fair question. Boils down to a reasonable and impartial assessment of both vehicles. I saw a late 90's something chevy lumina (I think) pace car today. It was pretty much a pile of ****. Other than some stickers and other cosmetic tweaks, its just a car or truck. Now if it was taken care of and in pristine condition it might be worth something.
If yours is running and considering its a known factor, I would stick with it.
