tune up the v10

Just completed my first self tune on my 2000 f250 v10 what a bitch. I made up a small hose to suck all the crap away from the plugs before removing them and had a couple of the coil retaining bolts that needed to be run through a die. Man thats a deep hole the plugs sit in. I was pretty liberal with the dielectric grease in and on the boot seat in an effort to keep debris out of that hole. I am trying out the bosch 4x platinum plugs, got them for about 5 bucks a piece at Advance nice not having to gap them. Decided to bite the bullet and install new BW coil packs as I have had a couple go out through the years. Seems like the never sieze and carfully torque 11 ft/lbs helps to keep them from blowing out, sounds like this can be a problem with the Triton. I was at it for about 4 hours to complete but the old boy seems to be running like a champ. I have an Airhog oiled filter but am thinking about the non oiled airaid if anyone has an opinion like to hear from you. Let me know if I missed anything. I factory ordered my truck in March of 2000 and it has been very reliable for the last 180,000 miles.

Good miles. Guessing you got the plugs with three threads. I used to get water in plug hole closest to firewall on drivers side on my 99&03 but been dry last time on 03. Never replaced cop unless burned out. Thinking about fuel filters?

Good luck with the Bosch plugs. Put a set in 4.6 Expedition and after 5k miles sterted chasing misses again. Put another set of bosch in and same thing happened. Went back to Motorcraft and no more problems.
