Back in a 6.2

Picked up a 2013 ccsb Lariat FX4 yesterday, very happy to be back in a super duty after trading my 2011 6.2 SD in when my commute doubled a couple of years ago. There have been some small changes between the 11 and the 13, the MyFordTouch is definitely an improvement over the previous nav unit. Hope to spend some more time around here (again)!

Guess I should post some pics. The lie-o-meter is sitting at 13.2 right now which is good by me considering this thing is the size of a school bus.

I like it too but I believe it's a 6.2 emblem from a Raptor.

Thanks and yup, that's what it is.

Guess I should take the 2011 out of my avatar now too.

Did you get the 3.73 or 4.30 gears in yours?

3.73 because I'm driving around empty 85% of the time. Kind of wish I had driven one with 4.30's to see what the difference is.

Sounds good.

I drove a '13 F-150 with the 6.2 the other day and it was a beast. I'm curious what a 4.30 geared SD would drive like. Unfortunately, that's not something that's regularly stocked at most dealerships.

I have the 4:30 gears in my 2013 F350 and can say that they sure do "bite".
I am sure I may be giving up some gas milage but I plan to be hauling a truck camper soon so I am glad I have the extra torque.

Saratoga - Beautiful truck! The emblems look pretty cool, and I'm anti-emblem on a truck!

I gotta take pictures of my tires for you guys. The tuner with the 4.30's is going to empty my wallet! Between the higher priced fuel (STILL on the 93 tune) and the wear on my Toyo's from my lack of throttle control, I'm going to be buying tires in 2's instead of 4's. ha ha.

If anyone's ever in the Pittsburgh area and wants a test drive, hit me up, I'd be happy to accommodate, and I'd even throw in a Primanti's sandwich too!
