Help-installing aux fuel tank-vent line ?
Truck - 2008 F250 CCSB, 6.4
I am installing my new 60 gal auxilary fuel tank/tool box combo and have a question.
What is the best way to tap into the system for filling and a return line?
Here is what I am going to do unless someone has a better way or can tell me that this is a bad idea.....
I'm going to cut about 5" out of the vent tube pipe and install two brass reducing tee's for 3/8" fuel line. One for filling the tank and the other for overflow/recirculating when I forget to turn the pump off.
I will have the auxilary tank going into a solenoid valve, then the Carter 4070 pump, then a filter, then into the tee which will be spliced into the factory fill pipe's vent tube.
I am also going to drill and tap the aux tank's fill pipe for a vent to atmosphere.
Please let me know ASAP if you see any issues with this.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Sean
