How to remove dash piece above radio in 1994 F150 XLT

(The Piece that goes all the way over to the right side with the XLT plastic piece on it).
I've taken out the 4 bolts in the glove box, but the piece above the radio wont budge. I don't want to break anything.

You have to pull the radio out. Once it is out, there are 2-3 more nuts above it going into that same piece.

many aftermarket radios require 2 or 4 tools to be inserted along the sides of the radio that release them. I have cut metal file hangers in half before and used them.

If you do that, tape up the ends you hang on to. I ended up with several cuts on my hands.

don't use them like the VW guy did though. I don't think your radio will have those holes. They should be used morel like this.

Thanks guys. There are two clips on the side after i remove the trim piece. Should i just get two things that are flat and push on the clips? (towards the engine).
