Surfacing welds on the oem in-bed tire carrier to fill the heavy pits at the bottom:


Donor inner and outer cab corners will need a few pits welded:

Looks like you've got plenty of room between the cab and the box for something. Custom slip tank perhaps?

Thanks. Probably the 8.3 Cummins or whatever I can find complete with an air brake compressor and power steering pump. Probably will buy a complete truck for a donor.

Going to finish the rocker panels and floor bracing next. Once cab structure is sound, will be welding on the C-series roof donor section from earlier in the thread. Still bouncing around between different fab projects around the truck.

Any concern about the gare you will get reflecting off that speaker grill?

Rear fender seam fully welded and finished. A lot of hammer/dolly work.

Ongoing metal work:

Back up weld with custom copper spoon, weld, hammer or punch weld from behind, smooth, hammer/dolly, smooth.

Oem spare bracket repaired, ready for powdercoat along with another I acquired:





Factory tow hooks for front and rear awaiting chrome along with the oem turn signal housings:




The 70's running boards need to be re-shaped at the corner to fit the fender shape better, here is a graft from the old steps, and the filler plate the newer steps don't have:
