Wires

I need a little help with where these wires go.

The engine ran great until I put the the new (GM) alt on. Now it will not fire. I chased a few wires and found several that may be shorting out. I unhooked the Alt just in case that was the problem. Still no go.

#1 should go to your ignition switch 12V from the battery.
#2 energizes the coil from the ignition switch to start the truck.
#3 should go to the positive of your coil.

Hope this helps.
