302 swap

I know it has to be on here somewhere but I can't find it.

I am looking for a post on a basic swap of a 302 non roller and a c4 into a bone stock 67f100 with a 300 and three one the tree. I need a list of things I need to get the engine and trans in and settled. I am mostly concerned with the engine mounts and tranny cross member.

I am going with a b&m shifter so trans shifting is no problem.

Also wondering if the driveshaft length is something that I can find from another setup or need one custom built. This truck is going to be a cruiser, maybe 300-325 HP.

Thanks for any and all help guys.

You will need the engine perches (302) from a 68-79 Ford pickup, move the existing cross member as needed. Resize your current ds or go to a one piece cut to fit.

Question, If you are going to a 302/5.0 why not use an AOD for better fuel mileage?

So the only thing I need is the engine perches. Thanks, could I find new perches so I don't have to go on a wild goose hunt? If so where? And I just want a c4 due to simplicity.

The perches are easy to identify, maybe someone here has a photo, as Bill noted the Ms used them also.

The early mid 90s AOD would be a big improvement with the mpgs but it's your call.

A picture would help a lot. I would like to see some pictures with the engine in a 67-72 f100 also.

Is the aod from early 90's electronically controlled?

My 89 F150 is cable AOD, that would work for you. Not sure the year they broke over to electronic.

If you use an AOD transmission Jus be really good at adjusting that kick down cable because it will not shift over 1st and will burn it in less then 3 minutes...( I worked at a trans place)

I could be wrong but I don't think the AOD was electronically controlled. There is a E4OD that is.

AODE introduced circa 1989.

Post 12: The only way a 351C/C6 will get great mileage is...by coasting down a long steep hill. And...no F100/350 came w/a 351C

1970/74 Ford/Merc Passenger Cars only.
