Brake pedal-MC linkage

Brake pedal-MC linkage
Hey guys!
It's been a longgggg time since I've logged on. I guess I've been getting most of my advice and wisdom locally. That and progress has been slow on our F1. Anyway...
I have the original brake/clutch pedal assembly, but a dual mc with a power booster. The 3/8" eyelet rod from the pedal is about 3" or 3 1/2". All I can find for a threaded hex coupling nut is only 1-1/8" long. I really need either a longer coupling nut (can't seem to find one anywhere) OR a longer eyelet rod. I'm told there is some kind of swivel eyelet out there, but not sure what that's called. I SUPPOSE I could put a 3/8" stud between two coupling nuts, but not thrilled with the idea of having a three section linkage like that.
Any help?

Thanks for the input guys! I am going to just add a short piece of threaded 3/8" rod with coupling nuts and jam nuts to link up the brake pedal with the MC. Yeah, Mervy, you're right, it was called a heim joint, but it this case it didn't work out. I think I'll be ok tho. Ben, I am alive. I'll post some pics but not much to see really. It's coming along. Engine, clutch, tranny, rear end, front end, brakes wheels, tires all in. Brake lines and fuel lines all in, including fuel tank and mc etc. Starting on engine components. Soon we will tear down the rest of the cab for body work, paint etc.
Peace, Tyler
