Ok I've heard everyone say they are junk, and I have never used one but i figured as much. And the $$$ they cost will buy you a lot of gas.

But then my boss bought one for his new F150 with the 6 and a 5 speed (base model). He was consistantly getting 17 mpg, but after he put that in he was getting 20, and he took a trip for a few hundred miles and got 26 mpg. That's dang good for an F150. It was only his first tank of gas with it, and I'm sure the long trip had something to do with it, but that's hard to argue with. I dunno. He is going to keep me posted on his mpg ratings, we'll see if they go back down with more around town driving.

Really, I can't see the tornado accounting for 3 Mpg around town and 9 mpg on the highway. NEw cars would have them if they were that good.

Humm, you may be onto something. I doubt he would ever admit that it was junk after he bought it. Like I said, I serously doubt that any one thing like that could make that big of a difference. I chalked it up to him taking a trip with it. It usually takes him a month to go through a tank full of gas, and he lives about 5 or 10 minutes from work. I think that is the main cause for the change.
