Gettin old ain't for sissies

Well, my hard work and years have finally caught up ith me. I Had five hernias repaired yesterday and my gallbladder removed. I'm in recovery now and expect to go home tomorrow.
I had a piece of duct tape covering up my check engine light for a few years ow and just couldn't ignore it any longer. Doc says to lay off the mechanical for six week. Hope I can. I've got to go another five years.

Been there done that with the hernias. Look at it this way, by the time you're 100%, it will be much nicer weather for working on your rig! Get well soon!

I think he was referring to his body's check engine light.

Get some rest and don't overdue it. You don't want to do this again. Best wishes on your recovery.

Good luck with your hernia repairs and hope you have a speedy recovery. I was born before they started installing "check engine", so I don't go to the Dr. unless I have something obviously wrong. I enjoy being in denial, if I do have something terrible I would rather not know! Sorry Doc, only kidding. Still kicking, still working, and still playing tennis every chance I get. Walking three big dogs twice a day helps. Take care fixnair!

Take it easy and get better.

I'm with topmoo, if I ain't spewing something out and I can still move under my own power I'm not going to the doctor. I figure whatever the problem it will go away eventually.

Most Doc's anyway, stay away from slow old ford trucks and fast women and you mend much quicker.

I hope you heal quickly, and to do that, youl need to do what everybody says, TAKE IT EASY. Heck, you deserve some rest and relaxation, so enjoy the down time, the work will be back b4 you know it. Oh,and your right, this getting old stuff, isnt for the faint of heart.
